Alex Bevan from Cleveland Oh to
A1R. Alex has been in the local music scene for more than 35 years.
We are
playing music from 4 CDs (46 tracks).
The release of
the album Springboard got him some public recognition due to the local hit
song Skinny Little Boy. In 1977 he performed on the air on
Cleveland's WMMS Radio with a band
called Alex Bevan and the Buzzard Band, featuring DJ Matt the Cat on
guitar.

New CD by “Rock of Ages” by Mike Daly is on Akron1radio
Mike Daly just finished and released a new CD of steel guitar music called "Rock of Ages". The CD features rock songs from the era of 1968 thru 73, with songs from Steve Winwood, The Beatles, The Allman Brothers Band, Jeff Beck and a few surprizes. There is no 6 string electric guitar, so all the layering of guitar parts was accomplished on the steel using different combinations of steels and amps to create the textures. This is some of the best steel guitar I’ve ever heard so keep listening here at A1R.
